Tails on the Town!
Ever wanted to spend the day with a rescue dog but aren’t quite ready to adopt? Our Tails on the Town program is the perfect way to make a difference while enjoying some one-on-one time with an amazing dog in need.
Tails on the Town gives our rescue dogs a chance to take a break from the foster routine and experience the world through fun adventures, relaxing outings, and quality time with people who they’ve never met before. Whether it’s a trip to the park, a pup cup run, hiking trail, shopping trip, or simply relaxing on your couch, these outings help our dogs build confidence, socialize, and get valuable exposure outside of rescue life.
Not only is it a fun experience for you, but it also provides us with important insight into each dog’s personality, behavior, and preferences in new settings. In doing so, this will help us find them the best possible forever homes.
Before participating, all participants must complete an application and be approved by our team. Once approved, you’ll be able to schedule an adventure with one of our available dogs.

Note: Please do not let distance get in the way of spending time with a dog you are interested in meeting. In many cases, we may be able to make arrangements to get the dog transported to and from, or at least, closer to where you are located.
Nala is one of those dogs who instantly makes people smile. As our beloved resident hospice dog, Nala is simply here to enjoy life, soak up love, and spend her days making memories with the people around her.
This gentle, affectionate girl absolutely adores attention and wants to be wherever her people are. Whether she’s riding along on errands, lounging at an outdoor patio, taking a quiet walk, or curled up beside you during movie night, Nala is happiest just being included.
Nala is social, easygoing, and immediately friendly with new people. She enjoys outings and handles public settings very confidently. She may bark initially when excited and can sometimes get a little jumpy when greeting people because she’s just so happy to see them.
Because Nala is a hospice dog, every outing with her is truly special. Tails on the Town adventures help give her the love, comfort, and experiences she deserves while creating beautiful memories for everyone lucky enough to spend time with her.

Kira is a soft-hearted, sensitive girl who prefers the quieter side of life. While she may be shy at first, underneath that cautious exterior is a gentle dog who simply needs patience, understanding, and a calm environment to feel safe and comfortable.
Kira enjoys peaceful outings and slow-paced bonding time much more than busy adventures. She loves sniffing and exploring at her own pace, relaxing in the sunshine, and quietly spending time with someone she trusts.
Kira is food motivated and curious, which helps her slowly build confidence in new situations. She does best with slow introductions and patient people who allow her to warm up naturally without pressure.

If you're looking for a day full of puppy smiles and wagging tails, Naya is ready to join the adventure! This goofy, affectionate girl loves exploring, playing with toys, sniffing everything she can find, and soaking up attention from her favorite people. After burning off some puppy energy, she's always happy to curl up for a cuddle.
Because Naya isn't fully vaccinated yet, her perfect Tails on the Town day is a little different. She'd love a visit to a private yard, a relaxing car ride, or quality one-on-one time with her person instead of busy public places. Like any puppy, she's still learning her manners, so expect lots of enthusiasm, a few excited jumps, and plenty of happy greetings.

Ebby is a sweet, easygoing girl who loves getting out and exploring with her people! She’s playful, curious, gentle, and happiest when she can enjoy a walk, car ride, sniffing adventure, playtime, or some quiet relaxation.
She’s friendly and polite with new people, though she can be a little reserved at first. She also enjoys playing with other dogs and is continuing to build confidence through new experiences.
Ebby would love a Tails on the Town adventure that includes a neighborhood walk, park visit, running a few errands, or simply some one-on-one time together. She has medium energy and would be a great match for a family, active adult, or anyone looking for a sweet companion to share a little adventure with.
